A couple months ago I had photographer Heather Talbert stop by and take some fun shots of Anna's nursery that I'm excited to share! The nursery design was a labor of love that went through many iterations, but it was finally complete a couple days before I went in to get induced. I originally wanted everything more neutral with white walls, but the room gets no natural light (we have to keep lights on at all hours of the day), so we brought in some color because everything kept feeling dull.
I started with a black Jenny Lind crib that I fell in love with, and I came across a vintage chandelier at a North Shore resale shop (for $70!). I then found the abstract flower fabric that tied everything together. My mom made the custom crib skirt and matching pillow using the fabric, which is my favorite element of the whole nursery. The art above the crib is from my nursery (a gift from my Aunt Shar!). We added shelves for all the sweet keepsakes she's been given over the past year, and book ledges above the chair for all our reading sessions.
The room is pretty small, so we typically use the dresser as a changing station (when it's not styled for a shoot!), and use the blue/gray armoire as her closet. All the room's sources are listed below as well as the design plan, more images, and a special cameo from the room's occupant!

My mom embroidered the special message, "Grandma Loves You," on the top of her crib skirt!
